The Email Exhibition Course was designed to give K-12 teachers leaders an easily accessible online course that would teach them about the benefits to the classroom that exhibitions of student work bring. The course explains the numerous benefits to student learning, such as exposing them to authentic audiences, and how to prepare for the logistics of the event. A number of documents produced by High Tech High and samples of work and planning from various real exhibitions that have taken place are prominently featured as reference materials.

The course walks participants through an eight week step-by-step process, where each week an important aspect of planning the exhibition will be explained. The course is designed to be completed over a total of roughly 1-3 hours of work, over a period of 28 days, with roughly two activities featured in each core lesson email that will help teachers to develop their plans for an exhibition.

The Exhibition Email Course was originally offered by the High Tech High Graduate School of Education through the Share Your Learning organization. It was written and created by Patrick Yurick and Robert Guerra. When originally offered, course participants could join in via an email sign up and have the lessons delivered straight to their email inbox.

The version of the course that appears on this site has been archived in order to no longer need the use of emails. This course was originally offered in the form of 10 emails sent over a 28 day period. The original text and images from the course have all been included in a “Course Manual” pdf, and the entirety of the course can be viewed there. This database includes 15 videos, 8 activities, and 37 reference documents.
