My name is Laura Bookser and I am happy to be working at High Tech High Media Arts!
I’ve lived in California for 20 years, but I was born in New York, and graduated from high school and received my BA in Sociology in Pennsylvania.
Later, as my interest in education grew, I went back to school to get my Master of Education in Learning and Instruction from Northeastern University.
Since then, I’ve worked for private, public and online schools in various roles as an educator and administrator. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping students find their strengths to take steps to reach whatever goals they have for themselves. I am excited to work with all of the amazing, dedicated educators that make up the HTHMA community as I continue on this path.
Outside of work, I love reading, writing, and traveling with friends and family. I’ve been to 14 countries, and I’m hoping to see many more!
